She had no idea how it had gotten to this point. She was born and raised proudly, and yet she found herself in such a terrible position that she just wanted to die. 

After surviving this ordeal, Lucilla could not help but chastise herself for being selfish, foolish, and, above all, a poor judge of character. Everything began when she set her sights on Takunda, a man she met when she brought Avita to check on her house in the Twin Towers. 

Takunda was someone she had fallen in love with at first sight. She took it upon herself to discover everything she could about him, and she was certainly impressed. One thing she liked about him was how honest he was at times, and how he made it clear that he was not interested in her, which stung at the moment but she learned to take it quietly.
