Chapter 48. To My Room

Amelia's POV

I made two more trips down the stairs to get the other boxes. Trust me, I had kicked those heels off immediately after I got into the room the first time.

I am now standing in my room, looking at the boxes that stood by the foot of my bed. As much as I wish that I could start going through those now, I need a shower. So, shower first.

I changed into a new pair of clothes before sitting down on the floor as I picked up the file I had started with in William's office. I would have read on the bed instead but I know I would fall asleep without going through anything. Hence, the floor.

I went through a lot of files for a quite long time before a knock sounded on my room door. I looked sharply towards it, it has started me.

I sighed as I held my chest before standing up from the floor.

I opened the door slightly and there he was.

"You should come down for dinner, it's getting late", William said and I nodded.

"I will be waiting
