Chapter 61. Mini Cinema

Amelia's POV

Saturday afternoon

We returned to the office silently and I took my seat back behind my desk.

I turned on the computer and my mind wandered to what William said in the car.

What could he possibly mean by me being special from the other workers? He even said he cares a lot more about me than the others.

I looked at him through the glass window beside his door and my lips slanted a bit. I can't seem to understand what he meant. Should I have just asked him what he meant instead of looking away?

It was finally closing hours and William walked out before I could even go inside his office to tell him.

"Let's go home, Amelia", he said with a smile and I quickly looked around.

"What if someone had heard you?", I said in a hushed tone and he smiled again.

At least, the tension between the two of us is gone.

"Come on", he said as he started walking away and I rushed after him.

We took the private elevato
