William's POV
I walked into a hallway, away from the party as I searched for father.
"William", someone suddenly said behind me and I turned to see my father's assistant.
My father was in front of his assistant with the cane he now uses in his hand.
How long has it been since I saw this man? Ten years? Fifteen years?
"Father", I greeted as I bowed at him.
"Mm", he replied with a small smile. I guess he is happy to see me then.
We walked into a quiet room and took our seats on the couches there. My father's assistant stood behind him.
"How long has it been since your mother took you away?", he asked and I chuckled.
"Too long", I replied and he smiled before nodding.
"You've grown up well. I would have to thank her for that", father said and I felt my stomach churn.
"It's something every mother would do", I replied and he nodded.
"I heard about your company", he said and I looked up at him.
