Chapter 16

Malia's POV

Malia picked up the picture and stared at it. It was a picture of a woman, with her face hidden from the camera by her long hair.

Her hair was blond.

Malia stared at it, her hands trembling. There was no mistaking. This had to be Pearl. She searched the picture to see if she could find out when it was taken, there was no time stamp. 

Malia wondered why her husband had another woman's picture on his working desk. She wondered what would happen if she destroyed the picture. 

"What are you doing here?" Grant's deep voice reached her ears from behind. 

She wasn't startled, she didn't jump. She calmly shrugged her shoulders. "I thought that I was in my room," She said and turned her head to slowly glance at him from over her shoulders. "Turns out, I missed my way and ended up in yours."

He was dressed in a casual shirt and jeans, sneakers on his feet. He had a pair of sunglasses in his hand and his phone in the other.&n
