Chapter 19
"So, you're leaving?"
"Yes, I have accomplished what I came to do. There's no need for me to stay here any longer."
Malia leaned in the doorway, halfway inside Andrew's room. It made her realize that she had never truly been in his room. Even though he was striping it of the bare necessities, it still looked very minimalist. He took a painting off the wall and carefully wrapped it in brown paper and then bubble wrap.
"How was the show?" Malia asked. She hadn't exactly had time to chat with him very much since the whole incident with Grant the other time.
Andrew turned to her briefly and offered her a smile. "It was good, really good. The turnout was way more than I expected."
"That's awesome..." Malia said. "Right? You don't seem so happy."
He paused, wrapping up the painting and turned it to face her fully. She heard him sigh softly and he seemed to be struggling with finding his next words.
"The thing is...." He started. Malia leaned
