Grant's mother appeared behind Clarke. She took one look at Malia, her eyes shone with disgust, and turned away sharply.

"Lock the doors please, and don't allow her to get inside." She said, anger lacing her tone.

"I can't reach Andrew!" Malia cried out. The woman paused and turned slowly.

"What did you just say?"

Malia inhaled deeply, biting her lip to prevent rears from spilling. "I said I can't reach Andrew! I've been trying to call him and his number is unreachable! He knows okay?! He knows everything! And he's going to come after us I just know it!"

The woman crossed the distance to the front door and grabbed Malia by her wrist. "Come inside." She said gravely, her grip as strong as steel. "Clarke, alert the security to engage lockdown."

"Yes, madam," Clarke said and shut the doors.

"This way." The woman said, letting go of her hand. 

"Oh thank you so much," Malia said, rubbing her wrist.
