“Your mom loved you so much...” he said with full voice.
I shut my eyes close before raising my gaze to him.
“You don’t know what you are talking about,” I shot back.
He heaved a sigh before he gripped my arm once again. His eyes looked dim and serious, like he doesn’t agree to what I said.
“She did what she thought was right. Because she knows what’s better for you.”
I chuckled humorlessly. “Right? Do you think it’s right that she separated me from my husband? I’m her daughter, I’m not a stranger that she should hide secrets from!”
“It is for your own good...”
I was stunned at what I heard. His words sat precariously on my skin, enough to enforce the intended message to my heart.
“You knew it?!” I asks with disbelief.
My throat and my heart held in a silver grasp. I held my breath as I waited for his reply.
“What Tita did was right. That bastard screwed you. He married someone else even if he knew he left a wife here...” h
