Ava’s POV

It has been a long fucking day of avoiding the man who thought he could play with my feelings.

After seeing him in his element, it dawned on me that he was right.

I could never be what he wanted.

I wanted more from him and it was something he wasn’t willing to break his friendship with my brother and I respect that.

I sat in my office, signing the documents.

I heard a knock on my door.

The door was pushed open and Emily walked in.

“Hey girl…” I greeted.

“Hey…” her voice was low, she didn’t look happy.

“What happened?” I asked as she slumped down on the couch which was placed in my office.

“I need a fucking drink. Get me something strong.” she said.

I stood up and walked to the bar, pouring the whiskey into a glass. I walked up to her and handed her the glass.
