Emily’s POV

The moment Alex’s lips left mine, I could barely breathe. My chest rose and fell like I had just run miles, but the only thing I had done was kiss him back.

I kissed him like I had been waiting too long and stopping was no longer an option.

My body was betraying me, as it screams for more. His hands were large and warm, caging me against the sofa, and even though he wasn’t holding me down, I couldn’t have moved if I tried.

His presence was overwhelming, like every nerve in my body had shifted its focus solely on him.

“Alex…” My voice broke on his name, trembling, almost pleading.

His eyes burned into mine, darker than I had ever seen them.

My lips still tingled from his kiss, my skin too hot from his touch.

He leaned closer, brushing his nose against mine before his mouth found my ear. “Tell me to stop,” he whispered, his breath hot against my skin.
