Dom and Iris walked out of the bakery hand-in-hand with soft smiles decorating their faces and bright, uncertain eyes full of hope.
But that is not how the cake-tasting experience had started with the cake expert, Miss Kate’s untimely blunder of reminding them of
Dom and Freya’s wedding celebrations. Dom simply wanted to leave, the wound of Freya’s death was still fresh in his memory as his nightmares contained the view of Freya’s distorted monstrous form falling into the ocean never to rise again, and Iris had to convince Dom to keep up the plan for the day with a heavy-heart of her own because unknown to Dom, she was well-aware of the reason behind his over-reaction.
