“Lily baby, what are you doing up? You should be resting, it’s too early.” Elijah tried to change the topic and failed miserably in front of his stubborn younger child.

“How do you know anything about Kate?” Dom asked sternly.

Liliana, however, unfazed, entered the room and sat down yawning, “Nana said a few things last night when she came to say goodnight.”

“She shouldn’t have.” Muttered Dom as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Elijah placed a hand on his shoulder to warn him so as to not make Liliana feel left out.

“Why? Is a fire in a shop in the town square supposed to be a secret, Brother?”

Dom stood up, still not over his sister’s attempt to cause trouble between him and his wife. Intentional or not, it still happened and Dom wasn’t the forgiving type. Without a word, he left the room after motioning for Iris to follow.
