Chapter 100. A Jackpot

Sansa's Pov

My gaze switched from the dropped knife to my grandfather's face, his eyes filled with a sickening mix of fury and loathing. He despised both my mother and me, and now that my father was no longer protecting me, I had become his primary target.

I pushed back against his hard grip on my collar as he grabbed for the knife that had dropped. As he took a few steps back, dragging me closer by the collar, his goal to harm me became evident.

I dug my sharp teeth into his wrist, creating imprints that drew terrible screams from him, summoning all of my strength. My actions seemed to aggravate his rage, and he tried to push me away with force.

I gasped for air as soon as he let go of my collar, but my relief was fleeting as he flung me into the wall, causing my head to smash into the surface and sending me sprawling to the ground.
