Chapter 52. Inside the Dungeon
I was dragged by a strong hand while only looking ahead at dark long hairs. Her grip was too strong for me to resist.
I had no choice but to proceed. We were both walking blindly into the deep darkness, where I lost sight of my eyes. All I saw was darkness.
A dim light shone near the empty prison, away from anyone's presence. Our steps were guided by that dim light to find our vision in the darkness.
She shoved me up against the wall and smacked her right hand against the wall next to my neck. When her face emerged from the shadows, I held my breath. I could see her face in the dim light of the lantern hanging on the wall next to me.
"What on earth were you thinking?" Bella's voice was quiet, but her tone was venomous.
"That's none of your concern," I said, trying to sound confident despite the terror that was creeping in.
