Chapter 56. Nightwalker vs the Oak Pack

Death loomed over us like an awful shadow, its unpredictability a continual reminder of the frailty of existence. In that stressful moment, I found myself confronted by the most deadly foes, the Nightwalker pack members, all of whom were hell-bent on my demise.

The odds were stacked firmly against me, four against one. Death was circling, looking for its next victim. As the battle for survival erupted in the room, I skilfully dodged their lethal strikes while safeguarding Marina.

Marina, too, fought back with surprising force. She demonstrated incredible skill and bravery by striking down her attackers without hesitation. She was clearly no stranger to bloodshed and violence.
