He was a ruthless, self-centered Alpha, a true psychopath who only cared about himself. He had no qualms about inflicting harm on others for his own gain, entirely unconcerned about the anguish he inflicted. That wasn't his issue; he did anything he wanted without hesitation.

My life had devolved into a living nightmare. Each passing second brought with it apprehension, as I wondered what terrible move Xavier would make next, and how close he would pull me toward him the next time.
