Xavier's POV
Elodie's words resonated like fateful whispers in the poorly lit room. "It's not a question of right and wrong; you can't change the future; no matter what you do, the future will remain static," she murmured as we both were in the room together, her voice barely audible.
Elodie's convictions were unwavering. "If someone is fated to die, he will die; if one is fated to live, he will live."
In reaction, my determination blazed. "No, I would not accept a future that did not favor me," I said, my heart racing.
