“I rode to the hospital in the back of an ambulance with him, twice. The first time he had almost drowned saving those two children. The next time, he suffered two bullet wounds and actually had what should have been a killing shot deflected by a locket on his chest. He came very close to bleeding to death. A third time, I arrived just as he was unloaded from helicopter after enduring a severe beating, a bomb blast, and being stranded for several days in freezing weather.
