The reporter who had asked her the question shut his mouth but another was ready.

The reporter flashed Gale a smile. “Is it true that you and Miss. Darcy Fletcher and you are together as you were seen leaving the hotel together the other day from Shelly Baker’s birthday party?”

Darcy darted her eyes towards the Harris couple but they were seated very calmly as if they were not bothered and smiled at her assuringly.

Gale pulled her in close against his side as others also started to bombard him with questions. His gaze intersected with the bold reporter filled with warning. "My personal affairs are not related to my company’s affair; however I can confirm that Darcy Fletcher and I have been secretly engaged for the past month. So don’t spread baseless rumours anymore."

The room erupted Gale gave his official team to handle the situation and they were already working to push the press back as the door closed in and Gale carried Darcy away. His arm tightened and
