Chapter 19. The Last Goodbye (4)
With his gentle caress in my hair and my mother's hand on my back, I forced myself to hold everything in, sniffing and drying my damp face. I looked only to see Jun-Ho and Yuna in the distance, waving goodbye, and slowly making their way back to the car we came in.
JunKoo was the one who adjusted Jiwan in the car seat, and my mother went with him. I sat beside him and rested my head against the window.
I hated appearing melancholic, but there, it wasn't as if I had any guilt. With all the respect they had for me, JunKoo and my mother remained quiet, only making me even quieter.
At home, tired, JunKoo accepted my mother's help with the baby, and I went straight to the shower to wash myself and, hopefully, get rid of the damn smell of the flowers that seemed to have stuck in my nose.
