Five days later.
I was sprawled out on the middle of the living room carpet, gazing at the trees through the large window. It was a Tuesday afternoon, but it felt like a lazy Sunday. I sat there, observing the slow sway of the trees in the wind, feeling a strange sense of peace within me.
I had woken up feeling unwell, but after receiving the results of my medical tests and talking to the doctor and nutritionist, things at home weren't as alarming anymore. Well, not entirely.
"Mochi, come and eat," JunKoo called from the kitchen. "I made a snack for you."
I lifted my head and pouted. I was feeling so lazy that just the thought of walking over there exhausted me.
"Bring it here, love," I said.
He gave me a bored look and fetched the two plates from the countertop.
"You've been like this all day, love," he remarked.
