"Negative?" I looked at the paper, confused, feeling something strange inside me, and then looked at the doctor. "I'm not pregnant?"

Deep down, I felt frustrated. Why was I feeling this way? I really didn't want a baby...

"No," he said calmly, adjusting his coat. "At least, that's what the test indicates. The level of HCG in your blood is much below the 'normal' range to indicate pregnancy."

"Oh..." SooJin beside me seemed deflated. "But is it a hundred percent accurate?"

"There are possibilities of errors, but the HCG level is almost non-existent, showing no signs of pregnancy."

"What are the chances of error?" I asked.

"For example, taking the test too early... Most of the time, the pregnancy is too young to be detected, around one or two weeks."

"So, you mean Jae could still be pregnant, right?"
