Chapter 35. Reconstruction (3)
"I'll go grab something to eat downstairs," Sun said, and left us alone.
I returned home with a heavy heart but allowed myself to rest as well. During my shower, I tried to hold myself together, but the anguish was so overwhelming that I broke down in loud, mixed emotions.
At least, the advantage of being alone at home allowed me to let it all out without fear. I could have died there, and no one would have seen.
Feeling the pain mix with anger towards the damn twist of fate, I let out a loud scream, trying to push away everything I felt inside me.
The water was falling, its sound blending with my noise. The sound of my tortured scream mixed with the punches that unconsciously I began to throw at the wall in front of me, feeling my chest ache and trying to release all the pent-up anguish.
