MARCO’S POINT OF VIEW

Mom kept calling me, so I drove to my parent’s house wondering what the hell would happen again.

“Marco!” Mom said my name sternly.

“What is it this time, mom?” I asked her tiredly.

“Apologize to Athena,” she said, “You embarrassed her. How could you say those words to her? She’s a decent woman, and she likes you. What not to like about her? She’s the CEO of their family’s company and you can’t deny that she’s pretty, What else are you looking for?” she was annoyed at my actions but she couldn’t make me marry Athena ever.

“Why are you making my life miserable? You want me to marry someone I don’t love. Is that even fair, mom?” I sighed, “Is the company more important than your son’s happiness? I know this will happen, but how could you do this to me?” my chest tightened in resentment.

“Your son is right, so stop whatever your plan is,” Dad intervenes and looks at Mom with disappointment.

“There’s nothing I can do anymor
