"What the hell is the sheriff's department doing here?" Mr. Franklin asked on seeing the sheriff and his deputies approaching. "Don't tell me they are here to make an arrest?" Mr. Franklin added feeling lost. "No they are not," Mary said as she walked in on Mr. Franklin, Sam, and Derek. "What do you know about this?" Sam asked with his eyes fixed on Mary. "I told them they could stay here," Mary replied.
