“Unless you want me to file a case against your department for refusing a federal agent, access to the state facility in restraining a criminal?” Mr. Franklin asked. “That won’t be necessary,” the sheriff replied. “Very good!” Mr. Franklin said with a nod as the sheriff instructed one of his deputies to lock up the captain.
“Seems like you ended up in the wrong hands?” said the sheriff to the captain as one of the deputies drags him to the jail block. “We still haven’t to find Helen and we need help,” Lewis said standing next to Clara. “How will you want me to help?” Clara asked sternly. “You can help us catch up with her scent,” the sheriff cuts in. “That won’t be necessary,” Mr. Franklin cuts in sharply. “We are going home now until our ride from Miami arrives,” he added staring at Clara. “Until the ride arrives then we can go. Right now I have a friend to save,” Clara replied.
