Chapter 118. Free Me

The following day, around noon Helen pulled over in front of Lewis’ apartment. As she opens the door, she realized Lewis’ front door was wide open. She quickly hurried to the front door; seeing Lewis lying lifeless in the pool of his blood, she fell on her knees with a loud groaning cry.

“There has been genocide get your ass to Lewis’ apartment,” the sheriff said to Jack over the talkie. “Copy that sheriff,” Jack replied as he turned his patrol car around. “Who died this time around?” Jack asked rhetorically.

As he got to Lewis’ apartment, he pulled over next to the ambulance after the sheriff’s patrol car. With his hands placed on his gun belt he slowly approaches the front door, “You are here,” said the sheriff on seeing Jack. “What happened?” Jack asked with curiosity as he stared at Lewis’ blood unaware it was Lewis' blood. “Whose blood is that?” Jack asked again as the sheriff finds it difficult to speak.
