“One frappé, please,” I said to the counter.

He made me look for a place to sit while waiting, but Jessica’s hand waving at me as if she wanted me to join their table moved me walking towards them.

“It’s nice meeting you here, Miss Gwen. Have a seat!”

It seems that Jessica is suddenly nice to me after I was rude to her the last time I talked to them.

“Are you in a hurry? Or not?”

“I’m not in a rush.”

“Fantastic,” Liam reacted, “to see that for the first time in a while, you’re not in a rush, Miss Gwen.”

I know that he’s being sarcastic by the way he delivers those words, but even so! I was angry because of that.

“Be slow with what you say, Liam. Don’t be rude to her!” Jessica whispered here.

But the thing that raised my eyebrows the most was that right in front of me, Jessica fell like a leech on my husband—I mean, on Liam.

“Have patience with him, huh? He’s being rude sometimes, when you know? Uhm… having too much coffee.’
