"Bye girls, see you tomorrow," I shout, shutting my locker.

I hear a few farewells as I exit the changing area with my phone in hand.

*Three messages from Kol and two from Mr. Thorne/Maximilian.* I open Maximilian's first and go through them.

Maximilian/Mr. Thorne: Hi Rosie, Kol is coming to my place to drop you off. I need to go somewhere quickly. My home's code is 111605. If he goes in, that's fine with me. I'll speak with you shortly.

Maximilian/Mr. Thorne: Oh, and by any chance, do you enjoy French macarons?

He's begun calling me a pet name, which makes me smile to myself. Why didn't Rosie?

Me: Hey sweetie, I just left practice and am currently heading to Kol. Yes, I adore macarons from France. I'll see you shortly. *smiley heart-shaped face*

I take off toward the parking lot, skimming through Kol's messages.
