"Should I come back later since you guys are ignoring me or are you guys going to finally listen to me?" She says with a whole bratty attitude and looks down at her clipboard in her hand.

"Sorry little one, we didn't expect you-" She cuts me off.

"Don't call me that. You lost the privilege of calling me that" She states then shoves the clipboard to me. "I need you guys to take out your phones and scan the QR code."

I pretend that her saying she doesn't want me to call her the nickname I gave her doesn't sting. Regardless of how much it actually did.

"Why?" Nathaniel asks as he reaches for his phone from his pocket.

I think Nathaniel said "why" as in, "what's is the QR code for" but I don't think Via catches onto that.
