Chapter 69. Academic Mentors

Once we get to the main office, I open the door and I hear Kol behind me say something along the lines of "Via watch out." but it's too late, I run face first into someone's hard chest.

"Fuck." I fall hard on my ass. I look up at the person I bumped intogreat.

Mr. Everhart is looking down on me and his face shows a bit of concern. He quickly turns serious as he notices Kol and Aiden feet away from us.

"Oh Ms. Hawthorne. I apologize, I didn't see you. Let me help you up" Mr. Everhart reaches out his hand but I shake my head.

"It's fine- I'm fine." I got myself up with a little help from Kol.

I didn't want to touch him. I want to feel his skin connect with mine. No matter how badly I craved it. No matter how badly I craved him. I had to keep my distance.

What he said a few weeks ago- way before they even put a hand on me- was right.
