Sophie nodded, her eyes too heavy to open properly. "It is done. The poison is gone."

"Thank you, Sophie. Go, get some rest. You need it. Later, we will discuss that prophecy of yours."

When she left, Denzel heard a soft knock on the door while he was cleaning Cinnia's face of the sweat, at ease that those darkened veins on her arms and belly bump were back to normal.

Denzel paused his movements, half-turning to answer Kai. His brows furrowed at the worry creasing Kai's countenance.

"What is it? I gave you leave to go on your vacation with Lucy. Why are you still here? Did something happen to Maverick?" Denzel rose an eyebrow.

"No, he's fine. Just asleep. What about Cinnia?" Kai answered, avoiding Denzel's second question.

"She's well. Thank the goddess...and Sophie. She was of great help."
