I double-checked the wedding date. Then Jack’s birth date again. The spacing between the two was precise, almost as if it had been calculated to avoid suspicion. It looked clean enough to satisfy the public eye, but what if the truth behind it was slightly different?
I opened Chuwa’s corporate biography next. His early career history placed him in the same city and the same company branch nearly three decades ago. The timing overlapped too comfortably. The more I compared dates, the more unsettled I became.
