I sat by the poolside with my feet dangling in the water, feeling utterly defeated. The events of the past few days had left me feeling helpless and humiliated. I didn't even hear Mario approaching until he was standing next to me.
"Reina, I'm sorry. I haven't been able to come up with a way for you to get back into Rojas' life," he said sympathetically.
I sighed and looked up at him. "It's okay, Mario. I think I have an idea, but it's not for Rojas."

"I mean, I want to get back at Rojas, but I don't want him back in my life. I want to help Thomas instead, to help him and then destroy both him and Rojas." I said, feeling a glimmer of hope.
