Reina's Pov

I sat across from Kylian, my heart pounding in my chest. I couldn't believe he was apologizing after everything he had put me through. The memory of him wanting to hand me over to the police was still fresh in my mind, and I couldn't simply forget about it.

"You expect me to believe you now, Kylian?" I asked, my voice filled with skepticism. "One moment, you wanted to give me up, and now you're here, apologizing? How can I trust anything you say?"

Kylian looked at me earnestly, his eyes pleading for understanding. "Reina, I know my actions were unforgivable, but I realized how wrong I was. I can't bear the thought of having you as an enemy. It makes me do things I regret. Please, give me a chance to make things right."

I scoffed, feeling the anger rising within me. "A chance? You want a chance after betraying me like that? You expect me to simply forget everything and trust you again?"
