Kylian's POV

I take another look at Egan’s lifeless pale body as it lay in the morgue, a bit disturbed to see him this way. I try to blink, and make the tears stinging my eyes drips down. I step out of the place, wondering how Reina must be feeling.

Even though Egan wasn’t my child, Reina used to be my lover.

Maybe she still is.

Anyways, losing someone hurts and I am human.

I get out to find Macy saying something to Reina and seeing them that close really bothers me.

“ Did I miss anything?.” I say unannounced to disrupt their talk, my eyes moving from Macy to Reina trying to find out what is going on.

I watch Macy turn around to look at me with a fake smile on her face.

“ I don’t think so, Kylian. Or Reina, what do you think?.” She says in between her clenched teeth.
