Chapter 54. Virgo

The witch watched in amusement as the werewolves fought the ferals. She noticed a few witchlets putting up an impressive fight in the corner too. They were pretty strong, but they were no match for an endless horde of ferals. She was surprised to see witches openly moving in the pack and attending a banquet too, no less. She located Alpha Kain in the fray. He might be aging, but he was still an Alpha, so a few ferals would be no problem for him. Then she would send more.

Alpha Kain put down a feral; a second later, another one attacked him. As he fought, he noticed a tall figure by the door. At first, he thought he must be seeing things; after all, that woman is dead. The woman was not fighting, neither was she being attacked by any ferals. In his urgency, he quickly tore apart the feral against him and headed for the door. The woman saw him approaching and smiled. As he got closer, he noticed the odd color of her skin.

"It's been a long time, darling. Did you miss me?"
