Chapter 119. The Price of Silence
“You’ll be grounded for half a year if I tell your mom, but I only get a month if I keep your secret?” Nick was astounded. This girl is either very smart or very stupid to think that he would agree with her bargain. He was about to stand and just leave her when Kate grabbed his left leg and wrapped her arms around it.
“Six months! I will be your housemaid for six months! Please, please?” Kate was alarmed when he stood up from his seat. She mindlessly grabbed hold of him. Unaware that when she looked up to see his face, her view was too ambiguous in Nick’s eyes.
Her face was almost to his front bottom.
For a moment, Nick’s mind went wild. But he quickly rejected such stupid thoughts, and his face turned even more annoyed.
“Stand up!” He pulled Kate to her feet. “I’m so disappointed with you,” Nick felt his anger overwhelming him with reasons he could not even fathom. He needed to get a grip on his sanity and walk away from her.
