Chapter 52. Checking Reactions

He let her go from his embrace and made sure to buckle her up before driving off the parking lot. He knew the route to her place because it was the building across from his residence.

He drove swiftly but not hurriedly. He was testing his self-control and checking his reactions with her beside him. She was almost crouching like a shrimp on her seat. He could not be sure if she was still crying. Looking at her shoulders, they weren't shaking anymore. He couldn't see any of her skin. It was almost as if there was just a big round cloth on his passenger's seat. He can only tell he is sure she is a person because he can still smell her feminine scent like an air freshener in his car.
