Chapter 66. A Warning

"What did that loser want from you?" asked a frowning Val to her dad when he walked over to her table.

"He was asking me to make allies with him through marriage with you," Edward teased her again. He was not going to conceal such a silly conversation with her daughter anyway.

"Ughhh!"

Val pretended to vomit. Edward laughed out loud.

"Where is my package?" Val wanted to get what she needed and get out of there already. She fears more of Allen Bektas alike would show up and make her vomit for real.

"Alright, alright," the father knocked on her table with a jovial mien. "Follow me," then walked into his office.

Val quickly gathered her things and randomly loaded them inside her bag. She walked briskly following her dad. Excitement was undeniably visible in her joyful face.
