Chapter 47. One More Chance

When Madison left his engagement party, Dylan immediately began to pursue her. Regrettably, he was unable to get back up to speed. But, he ran across Emily, who appeared concerned at the moment of the encounter. From her, he found out that Madison was attempting to flee while she was crying. The description prompted Dylan to go about in his car, and he kept his eyes peeled for Madison the whole time.

When Dylan called Madison, he couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief. Yet he could hear her crying on the other end of the line, and that made him want to see her even more. He used coercion to get her to reveal her whereabouts. Yet, she did not want to be around him anymore, so she kept this information to herself. Dylan began to blame himself as soon as he heard the sound of her muffled sobs. During the time that she was out exploring the city by herself, he prayed that nothing untoward would occur to her.

“Damn! What kind of a fool am I?!” Dylan exclaimed in surprise
