Chapter 94. No Way Out
Cage’s dominant footsteps echoed against the concrete walls of the old building as Lacey quietly followed him from behind, staring around with nervousness.
Mrs. Cole walked up to meet Cage. “This isn’t the plan,” she glared. She hated to see her son tortured just to lure Lacey to the old abandoned building. This wasn’t supposed to be how it should turn out. Cage’s men had tortured her son nonstop.
“I know,” he smirked. “It’s all for the best.”
“So it’s true,” Lacey squeezed out. “You all now work together.”
“You better hush your mouth, girl,” Mrs. Cole lashed out in anger. Seeing Lacey still breathe made her want to rip her heart out. This was happening because she wanted Lacey out of her son’s life. Death could be easy, but Cage protested that he had a different plan. He still wanted Lacey to mate with Lucky—he hadn’t given up on that.
