“Did you pack something important that was left in the car?” Miss Helen asked.
“No, it was just a pretense that we were going on a trip together," Carter responded as we wolfed out through the unsteady ground.
Miss Helen chuckled and complimented us, “Smart little runts.”
‘That was all me!’ He boasted in my head, which I just grunted through the link.
‘But I’ll share the glory with you,' he added, and Lia was all over the moon for it.
‘Oh please. Just savor it all on your own!’ I retorted.
We continued to run and run until our paws were sore. Miss Helen was leading the way.
“Don’t forget to conceal yourselves.” She reminded us, and we immediately did.
