Carter is also obviously avoiding something.. And he is not like this, though. For quite some reason, he seems to be quite edgy today. Especially when we arrived. And there he was, hours ago, being extra sweet to me. Wish I could turn back time at this very moment.

Feeling quite bitter, I just ignored him and glanced at the adults. They nodded as if having made a unanimous decision in their own world.

“We will take you with us..” Uncle Frank stated. The man was overjoyed and started rejoicing. He was so ecstatic and kept on singing praises, thanking us.

“T-thank you so much! I swear I would just stay silent and won’t bother anyone—-”

That was cut short since Sir Payne took a detour hiding from the human eye’s blind spot and knocked him out in the neck.
