Chapter 135. A Mystery

Sophia’s POV

Even though I hate to touch Dexter, I had no choice if I wanted to live. I can’t be proud and risk it all. He held me and pulled me upward. Letting me grab hold of a stronger and much sturdier wood. Then, we climbed as our classmates pulled at the same time.

Once we reached them, the bear managed to grab hold of my foot! Dexter kicked its head and abruptly pulled me.

I landed on his chest, and I don’t know if it was his or mine, but a heart was beating ever so loudly. It should be his, right?

I pulled away because of how comfortable it felt. So cozy that it feels like home, but at the same time, it was so wrong!

How could I have this feeling? I suddenly felt guilty, thinking that it’s like cheating on Carter..
