Chapter 138. Caught in the Moment

Sophia’s POV

He instantly grabbed my waist, catching me before I could fall and hit my bum to the ground.

I grabbed his coat for support, and I bumped my forehead into his chest. He wrapped me in a tight embrace. One hand on the back of my head, while the other is still on my waist. He placed his lips on top of my head. “This is the greatest gift I have ever received.”

“Stop talking! You are embarrassing me!”

“I’m just thanking you!” He bickered.

“Are.. are you getting mad at me right now?!” I frowned, and he let out a soft laugh. He straightened my brows and kissed in between them. 

“Nope,” he replied as he shook his head childishly. “How could I be mad when we just ki–”

“I saidd stoppp~” I hid in his chest and buried myself in his scent.

“No one’s around silly.” He laughed and pressed another gentle kiss on the top of my head. This is slowly becoming a habit of his.

"But fine, I'll stop.. for now." He chuckled softly, still holdi
