Jacob’s POV

Once I was done talking, she placed her hand on the top of her head and tapped her fingers as she tilted her head to one side. Like she is in deep thought. She was about to say something but decided not to. Then, she looked at me and opened her mouth.

“I also can’t think why they want to hurt me. The word witch is just that. A mere word. I don’t even know a single spell.” She complained. I smiled at her and pulled her arm so that I could hug her. “Don’t worry, baby. I’ll protect you.”

We fell asleep and the next morning, Sophia was the one to wake me up.

“Jacob!!! Jacobb!” She tapped my cheeks and I groaned. With a sleepy voice I asked. “Why? What happened?”

“The remedy actually works!!!” She beamed and jumped up and down like a five-year-old. I chuckled and told her to stop or else the aphrodisiac might come back.

“You think I’m a child? How could I possibly believe that!” She folded her arms and glared at me.
