Jacob’s POV

Grandma Azura came inside together with Grandpa Fred and Elder Daria. The two of them each carried two dummies used for sparring matces. My brows were drawn together as I looked at them with my eyes asking what on earth happened out there.

Before any of them spoke, they closed the door and released pheromones meant for soundproofing the room. Sophia is still sound asleep in my arms. More like, I didn’t let her wake up by drenching her with my pheromones.

I slowly and carefully removed my arm as I gently lifted her head. Like a man on a tightrope, I cautiously placed my mate’s head on her pillow. I gave her a quick peck on the top of her head and rose up from our bed.

“If you guys went to such great lengths as to soundproof this room then it must be quite serious.” I opened up.
