Jacob’s POV

I immediately went inside and saw her eyes slowly flutter open. My knees are on the ground, and hands immediately found hers. I tenderly kissed the back of it as I stared at her flushed face. My free hand glided to her forehead, and it was so fucking hot.

She just blankly stared at me. Absent-minded. My heart was pounding so hard as she blinked. No way.. D-does she?

“B-baby?” I stuttered and held my breath, awaiting for her response.

“Hmmn?” She flashed me a loving smile, and I was finally at ease.

“Fuck. I thought you forgot all about me!” I blew out a sigh of relief.

“Silly man! How could I? Even if by some small chance I would, Lia will..” Sophia was quite cheerful despite having a high fever until she mentioned Lia. I could hear her hea
