Sophia’s POV

He stopped just in front of me and tilted his head sideways. With a deep and low voice, he whispered, “I will never give up on you, Sophia. So all your efforts to run away from me would be futile. That is why I am sorry. I will do just about everything to make you mine as you always have been.”

I shuddered and felt tingles from my belly, and they crept to my chest. He must have taken notice of it, as he darkly chuckled. Jacob shifted back and placed his school coat on my back. “Use that once you shift back.”
